ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS CLOSED

RULES OF ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • Apart from 1 min-1 pearl, all presentations will be of 4 mins duration
  • Submissions can be one of the following 4 types – Free paper, case presentation, video presentation, 1 min- 1 pearl
  • All submissions must represent original work by the author
  • Abstract submissions will start from May 17th and end on August 1st. No extension of dates will be entertained.
  • Maximum 1 submission in each category and a maximum of 2 categories submissions will be allowed. Any further entries or submissions will be disregarded.
  • Submissions may be chosen for oral presentation or as poster presentation

  1. Anterior segment and cataract

  2. Neuro-ophthalmology

  3. Simple Strabismus

  4. Strabismus – Nerve palsies

  5. Complex strabismus (Restrictive–TED, Duanes, Browns, CFEOM, etc..)

  6. Oblique muscle surgery

  7. Resurgeries

  8. Ocular genetics and Pediatric Retina

  9. Trauma

  10. Others

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

VAST (VIDEO ASSISTED-SKILL TRANSFER) SESSION

  • All presentations must be emailed to posngrandrounds@gmail.comby September 10th.
  • Total duration of the presentation must be under 6 minutes.
  • Presentation must include all animations and videos incorporated in the file.
  • Presentation must represent the original work by the author/co-author.
  • Change in presenting author will not be entertained.
  • Presenter is responsible for submitting the presentation audio/video content in the latest compatible format.

ORAL PRESENTATION (CASE)

1 MINUTE 1 PEARL

  • Total duration of presentation must be 1 minute or less.
  • Presentation must preferably be a video of 1 minute duration.
  • Presentation in powerpoint format should contain a maximum of 3 slides with no animations.

E – POSTER PRESENTATION – CASE PAPER, FREE PAPER AND ONE MINUTE- ONE PEARL

  • Single document in power point slide format created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 & above version only.

  • Can contain upto 4 slides – including introduction and conclusion slide.

  • Slide size should be 16:9.
  • Page setup should be in landscape orientation.
  • File size must be less than 5MB.
  • Font size should be 16 & above.
  • Images used should be of good quality of 200 dp resolution or above and be clearly labeled
  • Do not incorporate audio, animations or videos in the slide.
  • Do not overcrowd the slide.
  • Use appropriate colours and adequate contrast for better view.

 

E- VIDEO PRESENTATION

  • Videos should be of 1280 x 720 p resolution.
  • Videos should be of maximum 4 minutes duration.
  • Videos can have a voice over or additional audio clips.
  • Videos should be presented in landscape orientation.
  • Use appropriate colours and adequate contrast for better view.
  • Font size in the video for writing or description should be 16 or above
